There was a time in my life when I was completely running on empty.
I was doing everything on my own, running a business, raising kids, going through a divorce, training like an athlete, and burning the candle at both ends. I never slowed down long enough to actually look at what was happening around me.
And it showed.
My reactions were short. I felt overwhelmed all the time. My kids started to feel more like a responsibility than the privilege they truly are. Work was stressful. Money felt tight. Everything felt heavy.
And yet, I told myself something I hear from people all the time now:
“I can’t afford to invest in myself.”
Looking back, I couldn’t have been more wrong.
The Truth About Investing in Yourself
The shift didn’t happen overnight, but it started with one decision:
I said yes to myself.
Instead of focusing on what I couldn’t afford, I started looking at where my money was actually going.
- Daily Starbucks
- Eating out
- Random Amazon purchases
- Things that gave me quick hits of comfort—but no real change
When I got honest, I realized the money was there. It just wasn’t being used in a way that was moving my life forward.
So I redirected it.
I invested in:
- Coaching
- Mentorship
- CEO masterminds
- Personal development work
- Healing practices
And every single investment helped me level up.
What Happens When You Invest in Your Growth
Something powerful happens when you choose yourself.
You stop surviving and start creating.
With every investment I made, I gained:
- More clarity
- Better emotional control
- Stronger boundaries
- A healthier mindset
- Increased confidence
- And ultimately… more financial growth
Because when you grow, everything around you grows too.
This is something I see over and over again with clients:
They think they can’t afford coaching—but the truth is, they can’t afford to stay stuck.
“I Can’t Afford It” — Let’s Be Honest
I hear this all the time:
“I don’t have the money for coaching.”
And I get it. I used to say the same thing.
But if you really sat down and looked at your spending, could you find a way?
Because when we truly want something, we figure it out.
We find the money for:
- Vacations
- Clothes
- Dining out
- Convenience
So the real question becomes:
Are you willing to invest in your own growth the same way you invest in your comfort?
Healing, Growth, and Becoming Who You Want to Be
Personal development isn’t just about success—it’s about becoming.
Becoming someone who:
- Doesn’t react from old patterns
- Doesn’t stay stuck in past trauma
- Doesn’t operate from stress and scarcity
Today, I move differently.
I take time to slow down.
I have a strong morning routine.
I acknowledge my past without living in it.
I’ve learned how to regulate my nervous system and shift my mindset in real time.
And most importantly, I’ve learned that everything I desire requires me to become a different version of myself.
You Have to Become What You Want
We don’t get what we want by wishing for it.
We get there by becoming the person who is aligned with it.
And that requires:
- Support
- Guidance
- Awareness
- Accountability
Whether that’s through coaching, Reiki, mentorship, courses, or community, you don’t have to do it alone.
If You Feel Stuck, You’re Not Broken
Feeling stuck is human.
Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected—it happens to all of us.
There is no shame in it.
But staying there? That’s a choice.
And the moment you decide to invest in yourself, things start to shift.
So Let Me Ask You…
What is more important to you right now?
And how are you willing to start investing in yourself?
Because no matter what it looks like: a course, coaching, Reiki, a mastermind, when you choose yourself, everything begins to change.
And that’s where the real magic starts.
